Services for Jason Markert Set For Today
Markert died in an accident in Stafford Township last Monday.

Services for , a 21-year-old Galloway Township native who was killed in a car accident on the Garden State Parkway in Stafford Township on Monday, April 2, are set for today, according to Wimberg Funeral Home.
The viewing will take place from noon-4:20 p.m. at Wimberg Funeral Home at 211 East Great Creek Road in Galloway. Cremation will be private, according to Wimberg.
Markert graduated from in 2009, and attended According to Wimberg Funeral Home, Markert worked as a lifeguard in Gallowy and Manahawkin, and was a brown belt in Wado Roo (Peace and Harmony) karate, and played basketball at all levels.

He was a “true blue” New York Giants football fan and his passion for songwriting and poetry was becoming inspirational to his relatives and many of his friends and fans. Jason is survived by his father and mother Mark and Gina Markert; his sister Nicole Markert; his grandmother Mildred George; his uncle Robert George and his Aunt Derenda Weber. Also survived by his many other relatives and friends and his loving pet dog Ava.
