Sharon Schulman Named Chief Relations and Marketing Officer at Stockton University

Gloucester Township resident Sharon Schulman has been named chief university relations and marketing officer at Stockton University, the University announced Thursday morning.
Her responsibilities also include overseeing the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy and coordinating with the Stockton Aviation Research and Technology Park, an auxiliary organization of the University.
Schulman is a Stockton graduate with an extensive background in marketing and public relations, communications management, web and social media communications, creative services and regulatory and governmental affairs.

She had been serving Stockton as the CEO of External Affairs & Institutional Research.
She previously served as executive director of the Hughes Center and as interim chief development officer and executive director of the Stockton Foundation.

The Vineland native previously served as chief of staff and CEO at the New Jersey State Board of Regulatory Commissioners and as executive director of the First Legislative District Offices for former state Assemblyman Edward H. Salmon.
Schulman was president and CEO of Aqua New Jersey, Inc., a state-regulated water and wastewater provider.
She also served as manager of Public & Regulatory Planning and manager of External Affairs for Atlantic Electric (now Atlantic City Electric), where she was responsible for short- and long-range strategic and corporate community, governmental and regulatory planning.
Schulman was founder and principal of Spe-Schul Communications of Vineland, a public relations, government affairs and advertising firm specializing in service industries and political campaigns.
She also served as executive director for the Bridgeton-Cumberland Tourist Association.
She holds a B.S. in Biomedical Communications, an M.A. in Communications and an M.B.A. in Marketing.
