SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach at Family Success Centers

The SNAP (Food Stamp) Outreach team from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey/Southern Branch will visit several Family Success Center locations this month and help low-income families see if they may qualify for food stamps. They will assist those people likely to be eligible for food stamp benefits to fill out an online application. Support in English and Spanish will be available on:

• Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30: Family Success Center, 3050 Spruce Avenue, Egg Harbor Twp. from 9am to 3pm
• Dec. 28 & 29: New Day Family Success Center, 624 New York Road, Galloway from 9am to 12pm

The Outreach team provides free SNAP eligibility pre-screenings at emergency food pantries, senior centers, soup kitchens, churches and other community sites serving low-income families in 18 New Jersey counties. The Community FoodBank of NJ also distributes 43 million pounds of food a year to more than 1,400 programs which feed almost 1 million hungry New Jersey residents.
