South Jersey Man Indicted For Murder Of His Mother: Prosecutor
Sean Daly, who in 2015 tried to stab his mother to death, has been indicted for her murder after she was found dead in March, officials say.

MAYS LANDING, NJ β The Atlantic County man who nearly 10 years ago was indicted for trying to stab his mother to death in her sleep has now been indicted for her murder after she was found dead in March, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
Sean Daly, 53, was indicted for the murder of Melba Daly, 74, both of Mays Landing, on May 22, officials said.
Shortly before noon on March 20, 2024, police responded to a home on the 6300 block of Quinn Avenue, where they found the dead body of Melba Daly, authorities said.

Investigation led to Sean Daly being charged with murder. No information has been released regarding the cause of death.
In 2015, Sean Daly was indicted after trying to stab his mother to death in her sleep, the Press of Atlantic City reported at the time. Online court records show that he pleaded guilty to attempted murder and aggravated assault and did jail time.
