South Jersey Police Sergeant Stole Drugs From Evidence Room: Officials
Robert Zbikowski, a Hammonton detective sergeant, took narcotics from the department's evidence room and failed a drug test, officials say.
HAMMONTON, NJ — A South Jersey police sergeant is accused of taking drugs from his department's evidence room after failing a drug test, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
Hammonton Detective Sergeant Robert Zbikowski, 45, was charged with official misconduct, crime of pattern of official misconduct, theft by unlawfully taking, tampering with or fabricating physical evidence and obstruction of administration of law.
Hammonton police contacted the prosecutor's office at an undisclosed date this year to say that Zbikowski had failed his drug test, testing positive for methamphetamine, authorities said.

Zbikowski was found to have tampered with and taken narcotics from the evidence room, including methamphetamine and oxycodone, authorities said.
