State Trooper Rescues Adult, 2 Kids From Sinking Boat Off Atlantic City Coast
3 people were on a boat that was capsizing 100 yards off the beach in front of the Taj Mahal.

A New Jersey State Trooper rescued a man and two teenagers from a capsizing boat off the coast of Atlantic City this week.
Trooper II Russ Ryan was on patrol in the Absecon Inlet on Tuesday when he received a distress call, alerting him that a boat that was 100 yards off of the beach of Atlantic City in front of the Taj Mahal was taking on water and sinking quickly, State Police said.
Ryan was able to quickly locate the sinking boat and pulled up next to it. He immediately rescued a 13-year-old boy.

“As soon as I saw your boat, I knew I was safe,” the boy later said.
As the trooper was reaching for the second victim, a 15-year-old girl, the capsizing boat moved her just out of reach. He had her jump away from the boat and swim to his boat where he was able to pull her to safety.

As the boat finally capsized, it threw the operator, a 60-year-old Philadelphia man, from the boat and into the water. The man was able to swim to the police boat, where he was pulled to safety.
None of the victims reported any injuries, and the incident is still under investigation.
