Stockton College Exploring Expansion Into Atlantic City
The College may be looking at moving into the Atlantic Club or the Showboat, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is considering purchasing either the Atlantic Club or Showboat casino in an effort to expand its campus into Atlantic City, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian said during an economic forum in Burlington County that the City was able to convince the College to open a new campus for 10,000 students in the City, according to the report.
Stockton College told The Press on Wednesday that the College is still looking to expand into Atlantic City, but any further discussion would be premature.

The Atlantic Club closed in January and the Showboat closed in September. The Revel and Trump Plaza also closed this year, and about 8,000 people have lost their jobs as a result.
The addition of a 10,000-person campus in Atlantic City would continue the expansion of Stockton College, which announced earlier this year that it is seeking University status.
