Stockton Hosts Martin Luther King Day Of Service
More than 800 students are expected to participate, the university says.

More than 800 students are expected to participate in Stockton University's Martin Luther King Day of Service, the university said. The day of service will also include activities at Stockton's new Atlantic City campus.
Events will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. Activities will include the following:
- Galloway Campus Center, 101 Vera King Farris Dr.: blanket-making for the homeless, toy-making for Cohanzick Zoo animals, card-making for St. Jude patients, and packing books for Books Without Borders.
- Atlantic City, campus Residential Complex and Academic Center, 3711 Atlantic Ave.: community beach cleanup with Surfrider Foundation, crafts, as well as sorting and distributing warm clothing to families in the area. Volunteers will also be at the Atlantic City Rescue Mission.
- Hammonton, Kramer Hall, 30 Front St.: making Valentine's Day cards for veterans and assisting the Noyes Museum with its digital archives. A free CPR certification class will also be offered.
- Tuckerton Seaport, 120 W. Main St.: Refurbishing and repainting outdoor exhibits, organizing the curatorial rooms, and creating fleece blankets for Project Linus.
- Woodbine, Azeez Center, 610 Washington Ave.: Trash pickup with Boy and Girl Scouts of Woodbine, making cards for people in nursing homes.
Volunteers will also work at the Seashore Gardens Living Center, South Jersey Horse Rescue, Gilda’s Club, and Kibble Cupboard pet food bank.
