Teen Riding Bike Hit By Car In Galloway Township: Police

The accident took place early Thursday morning.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — A teenage boy suffered a head injury when he was hit by a car while riding his bicycle in the area of East Great Creek Road and South Wrangleboro Road early Thursday morning, Galloway Township police said.

The 16-year-old boy was riding his bike west at 7:23 a.m. when he was hit by a 2017 Toyota Prius that was also travelling west, police said. No charges had been filed as of Thursday morning. The teenager wasn’t wearing a helmet.

The Galloway Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare Medics assisted the Galloway Township Police Department in the investigation. Great Creek Road was closed for about an hour.
