Third Congressional District Race Was State's Most Expensive
In the Second District, Republican Frank LoBiondo spent $2.29 million on his re-election bid, according to the Burlington County Times.

More money was spent on the Third Congressional District race than any other race in the State of New Jersey in 2014, the Burlington County Times reports.
Republican Tom MacArthur defeated Democrat Aimee Belgard to win the seat vacated by Jon Runyan on Nov. 4. He won by 10 percentage points but a lot of money was spent to get there.
MacArthur spent about $5.3 million, and Belgard spent about $1.7 million. Combined with spending from outside sources, a total of $7.01 million was spent on the campaign, according to the report.

In the First Congressional District, Democrat Donald Norcross spent $1.98 million to win the seat vacated by Rob Andrews. Republican Garry Cobb spent $101,939.
In the Second Congressional District, Republican Frank LoBiondo spent $2.29 million. He won re-election over Democrat William Hughes Jr., who spent about $721,000.
