Trump Taj Mahal Employees to Receive WARN Notices

Employees at the Trump Taj Mahal may be the next to find themselves out of work, NBC 40 reports.

Unions representing those employees have been notified that they may receive WARN notices in the near future, according to the report.

The Revel closed both its hotel and casino this week, and the Atlantic Club closed in January. The Showboat is scheduled to close on Sunday, and Trump Plaza will close Sept. 16.

The estimated number of workers expected to lose their jobs is about 8,000.

Prior to the announcement, the New York Post reported the Taj Mahal is facing bankruptcy, citing broken loan covenants.
