Two Atlantic Cape Basketball Players Named to All-Region Team

Two Atlantic Cape Community College basketball players were named to the National Junior College Athletic Association all-Region 19 teams, the college announced this week.

Armin Cane, of Pleasantville, was named to the men's first team, and Kerry Player, of Woodbine, was named to the women's second team, according to college officials.

Cane scored his 1,000th career point on Dec. 13, 2012, in a game against Cumberland County College. Atlantic Cape won that game, 103-79. The team went 11-14 this season, including a first-round playoff loss to Camden County College.

Player had 500 points and 500 rebounds in her career. The team went 13-12 this year, including a first-round playoff loss to Brookdale Community College.
