Unlicensed Driver Fatally Strikes Boy In Egg Harbor City: ACPO
A woman crossing the street with two young children sustained life-threatening injuries, the prosecutor said.
EGG HARBOR CITY, NJ — An unlicensed driver struck a 7-year-old boy and a woman Wednesday night on White Horse Pike, officials said. The boy died on the scene, while the woman sustained life-threatening injuries, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
The driver, Jorge Rodriguez, was charged with unlicensed driving in a fatal motor vehicle crash and received a summons for unlicensed driving, the ACPO said. He was processed and released.
The woman was crossing White Horse Pike with two children. Authorities have not publicly identified them.

Rodriguez was driving a 2011 GMC pickup truck west on White Horse Pike and approaching Buffalo Avenue during the collision, the ACPO said. The woman was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center City Division.
