Power Nearly Restored In Monmouth, Ocean, Atlantic; 2,000 In Toms River, Brick, Berkeley Without Service

Manahawkin completely restored, according to Atlantic Electric; Outages in Galloway, Wall, Manasquan, Belmar, Point Pleasant, Manchester, Barnegat and Lacey in the single digits

Power is nearly restored in Monmouth, Ocean and Atlantic counties as of Saturday, around 11 a.m.

Toms River, Berkeley and Brick had approximately 2,000 without power as 11 a.m.

Over 50,000 customers had lost power by 8:45 p.m.Saturday, according to Jersey Central Power & Light and Atlantic Electric.

Toms River was among the worst hit, with over 11,000 without power. Howell Township had over 8,600 customers in the dark and Brick had more than 2,800. Wall had nearly 800 in the dark.

Atlantic Electric reported than more than 3,000 customers lost power in Manhawkin. The company's outage map is here.

In the eastern part of the Monmouth County, Bradley Beach was most impacted, with 3,200 customers without power--nearly all JCP&L's customers in the borough. Eatontown had 1,340 households without power and Red Bank had just over 1,000.
