The victim in a weekend fatal motorcycle accident on a South Jersey highway has been identified.

Gregory Green, 36, of Egg Harbor Township was identified Sunday as the victim in a fatal crash in his hometown two days earlier.

The crash happened at approximately 10:54 p.m. when the Egg Harbor Township Police Department responded to the Black Horse Pike and Pineview Avenue intersection, in the Cardiff section of the township, for a motor vehicle crash, police said.

A 2011 Ford Fusion operated by Leslie Hodson, 32, Egg Harbor Township, was making a left turn from Pineview Avenue onto the Black Horse Pike. After pulling into westbound lanes, Hodson’s vehicle pulled into the path of a Suzuki Motorcycle being operated by Green, police said.

Green’s motorcycle struck the driver side of Hodson’s vehicle, police said.

As a result of the crash, Green sustained multiple traumatic injuries. Green was transported to the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center’s Atlantic City Campus by the Egg Harbor Township Ambulance Squad and Atlanticare Paramedics, police said.

No one else involved in the crash were injured. The westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike were shut down for approximately 2 hours.

The crash is being investigated by Sergeant Lawrence Graham, Officer Patrick Daly, and Officer Joseph Griffiths of the EHT Police Traffic Safety Unit. The issuance of motor vehicle summonses is pending further investigation.
