Volunteers Needed For Beach Sweeps: Clean Ocean Action
Clean Ocean Action is calling for volunteers of all ages to help out in their Beach Sweeps cleanup event.
ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ — Clean Ocean Action is calling for volunteers to participate in their spring Beach Sweep cleanup event on Saturday, April 9.
The event runs at over 70 New Jersey beaches from 9 a.m. through 12:30 p.m., rain or shine. Volunteers of all ages are needed and are asked to bring their own bucket for trash collection. Volunteers should also dress for the weather, wear hard-soled shoes and bring their own gloves.
While cleaning, volunteers track the garbage they pick up. This data is used by Clean Ocean Action to promote changes in using and disposing trash.
