But the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor, and its Travelers’ Choice™ awards for Destinations on the Rise, rated Wildwood, NJ, number one for the best vacation spots in the US for 2015.

The team of travel experts at TripAdvisor is skilled at uncovering some of the lesser-known top vacation destinations across the world that travelers are raving about. From the boardwalks of the Jersey Shore to the temples of Vietnam, this year’s award-winners offer highly rated activities, restaurants and accommodations that are sure to inspire your vacation plans in the new year. And if Vietnam, or some other foreign escape isn’t a possibility, it’s good to know that Wildwood, NJ, is on par for pleasure seekers.
That’s right—out of 52 locations around the world, classic New Jersey beach destination Wildwood, NJ, ranked number one for the best vacation spots in the U.S. So how did they come to this conclusion? TripAdvisor determined the award-winners using an algorithm, measuring the year-over-year increase in positive traveler review ratings on accommodations, restaurants and attractions, across destinations worldwide. Wildwood finished ahead of Nags Head, North Carolina; Prescott, Arizona; and Telluride, Colorado.

So what’s so great about this charming Jersey shore town? Lots, and here’s just a few of the things vacation-goers can look forward to.
