Woman Breaks Into Galloway Home, Attacks Owner With Pipe: Police

The charges stem from a break-in and attack with a large pipe that occurred in December, police said.

A woman was charged Wednesday with breaking into a Galloway home and attacking the owner with a large pipe, Galloway police said. The attack took place Dec. 23, and the suspect was identified during investigation, the GTPD said.

Charges for Chevanda Dubose, 48, of Egg Harbor City, include aggravated assault, burglary and unlawful possession of a weapon for the attack on Federal Court, police said. Officials placed Dubose in the Atlantic County Justice Facility, pending court proceedings, the GTPD said.

The homeowner reported the incident Dec. 23, telling police she was assaulted inside her residence and struck with a large pipe, the GTPD said.
