Woman Found Dead In Atlantic City Hotel Room: Prosecutor

Police and EMS found a 41-year-old woman dead in a hotel room at Harrah's Resort on Aug. 12, officials said.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Atlantic City police are investigating the death of a 41-year-old woman who was found unresponsive inside a hotel room at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City early Wednesday.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, the Atlantic City Police Department received a 9-1-1 call at about 4:47 a.m. on Wednesday, reporting an unresponsive female inside a hotel room at the resort. Police and emergency medical services responded to the scene and found the woman deceased.

The body was removed by the New Jersey Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy is pending, according to the information provided. No cause or manner of death was released in the statement.

The circumstances of the woman’s death are under investigation by the Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, according to the statement.
