Galloway Woman Hospitalized Following Accident
The accident took place Friday afternoon.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 33-year-old Galloway woman was hospitalized after the Chrysler she was driving was hit by a Jeep at Upland and Second avenues in Galloway Township on Friday, police said.
Lauren Frye was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after she was hit while driving south on Second Avenue.
Police say Peggy Cooper, 63, of Columbia, SC, was driving east on Upland Avenue when she ran a stop sign and hit Frye’s car.

The impact pushed the Chrysler into a utility pole before it came to a rest on the west side of Second Avenue.
Frye had to be extricated from her vehicle by Bayview Fire Company, after Atlantic City Electric responded to disconnect all power lines.

Frye was then taken by Galloway Township EMS to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Mainland Division for moderate non-life threatening injuries.
Cooper was issued a summons for failure to stop and yield.
A three block section of Second Avenue was shut down for several hours while vehicles and debris were cleared and repairs were made.
The Galloway Township Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating.
