Woman Killed, 3 Hurt In South Jersey Highway Crash

Two cars were involved in the crash.

A woman was killed and three were hurt in a two-car crash this week on a South Jersey highway, police said.

Jalina Steele, 32, of Camden was killed in the crash that happened on the Atlantic City Expressway westbound at mile marker 23.9, according to The Press of Atlantic City.

A Honda Pilot driven by Luis Cream, 35, of Blackwood struck the back of a Honda Odyssey driven by Brenda Reyes, 35, of Sicklerville at 8:47 p.m. on Sunday, according to the report.

The Odyssey spun and struck a guardrail, and then moved back into the road before stopping. The Honda Pilot went through a guardrail, overturned and landed in a retention basin, according to the report. Reyes and her passenger, Michael Holness, 35, of Sicklerville, suffered minor injuries.

Steele, was taken to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, according to the report. Cream also suffered injuries in the crash.
