Woman Seriously Hurt After Being Hit By Car In Galloway Township: Police
She was crossing Route 9 when she was hit by the car Monday night.

GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP, NJ — A Little Egg Harbor woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a car on Route 9 in Galloway Township Monday night, police said.
Christine Appiah, 37, was hit by a 2005 Chrysler driven by 65-year-old William Murray, of Bayonne, who was driving north on Rt 9 in the area of Old Port Republic Road at about 9 p.m., Galloway Township police said early Tuesday morning.
Appiah suffered serious injuries and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division by Galloway Township EMS. The occupants of the Chrysler were uninjured.

The road was closed for about two hours while the scene was investigated. No charges have been filed and the collision remains under investigation. Assisting Agencies included the Galloway Township Ambulance Squad and AtlantiCare Medics.
Anyone who has information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to contact Officer Steve Garrison of the GTPD Traffic Safety/Fatal Accident Unit.
