Woman Shot, Killed In Atlantic City: Prosecutor
A 26-year-old Atlantic City man was charged with aggravated manslaughter in the fatal shooting last week, authorities said.
ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — An Atlantic City man has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old woman last week, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and Atlantic City police.
Officers with the Atlantic City Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at 2202 Hamilton Ave., Apartment D, in Atlantic City at about 9:30 p.m. on April 22.
An investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, working with the Atlantic City Police Department, found that Jaylou Marlenne Pineda Lopez, 22, of Atlantic City, had suffered a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead.

Franklin J. Felipe De La Paz, 26, of Atlantic City was charged with aggravated manslaughter and possession of a large-capacity ammunition magazine on April 29, authorities said.
Felipe De La Paz was taken into custody on April 30 in Pleasantville. The arrest was made by members of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, together with members of the Atlantic City Police Department, Pleasantville Police Department, United States Marshals Service and Homeland Security Investigations, according to the release.

The relationship between Pineda Lopez and Felipe De La Paz is unclear.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said the investigation is ongoing.
