Dead Man With 'Several Wounds' Found In Galloway Home: Prosecutor

GALLOWAY, NJ — Authorities are investigating after a man was found dead with wounds to his body inside a Galloway home.

Galloway police were called to the 400 block of South Odessa Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. on April 17 for reports of a dead man, according to a news release from the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.

Upon arrival, police found the body of Shawn P. O’Neill Jr., inside the home with "several wounds" to his body, officials said. It was not immediately clear what kind of wounds he had.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene, and is actively investigating the death along with Galloway police. The cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy.
