10-Year-Old Boy Dies After Accident Involving Police Car in South Jersey
The boy was hit by a Franklin Township Police Department patrol car that was en route to a call Sunday night.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death of a 10-year-old boy who was struck by a Franklin Township Police Department patrol car on Route 47 Sunday night.
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck at 7:04 p.m. near Elmer Street.
The police vehicle was traveling north on Route 47 en route to a call at the time.

The officer driving the car was the only occupant. No other vehicles were involved.
An autopsy on the deceased boy is scheduled for Monday.
