2 Black Horse Pike Boys Basketball Teams Advance in Playoffs

The tournament began Monday night.

Two Black Horse Pike Regional boys basketball teams advanced during the first night of action in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 tournament, according to nj.com.

Timber Creek, the No. 1 seed, advanced with a 78-58 win over No. 16 Delsea. Caleb Bowser led the Chargers with 22 points, including four, three-pointers. Randy Bell had 11 points in the win.

Kaleb Morton scored 22 points for Delsea, and broke the school’s 25-year record for career points, according to nj.com.

Timber Creek hosts No. 8 Seneca in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, 5:30 p.m.

Highland, the No. 2 seed, advanced with a 72-57 win over No. 15 Toms River South. The Tartans host No. 10 Mainland on Wednesday night, 5 p.m.

Triton entered the tournament as the No. 7 seed, but was bitten by the upset bug, falling to No. 10 Mainland, 49-43.
