2 Camden County Companies Among Best Places To Work In NJ In 2020

You may hear about employers who are leaving New Jersey. That's not true everywhere. There are good places in many towns, a survey says.

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — You may hear about employers who are leaving New Jersey. But there are plenty of good places to work, and they could be hiring.

NJBIZ recently published what it considers the best places to work in New Jersey. Two companies in Camden County made the list.

Sunhillo Corporation in West Berlin and Edmund Optics in Barrington are among New Jersey’s Best Places To Work in 2020.

Sunhillo is a medium-sized company, meaning it employs between 50 and 249 employees.

Sunhillo is a surveillance data distribution company that is within 45 minutes of the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, according to the company’s website.

It handles data distribution systems for the Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Military, civil aviation authorities and national defense organizations across the world.

Edmund Optics is a large company that employs more than 1,000 people. It has locations in nine countries and is continuing to expand.

It supplies optics, imaging, and photonics technology that has served a variety of markets including Life Sciences, Biomedical, Industrial Inspection, Semiconductor, R&D, and Defense since 1942, according to the company’s website.

NJBIZ typically surveys hundreds of employees who cited several factors that prospective employees may find attractive, such as:

  • Concern for their workers' well-being
  • Available benefits and policies.
