2 Deadly Crashes On Same South Jersey Roadway Under Probe: Police
A driver was killed less than 24 hours after a pedestrian was fatally struck, authorities said.
MILLVILLE, NJ — A South Jersey roadway was the site of two fatal crashes in less than 24 hours, officials said.
The collisions occurred on 2nd Street in Millville, killing a pedestrian on Sunday night and a driver the following afternoon, according to police.
Both cases remain under investigation.

Pedestrian Struck
At about 7 p.m. Sunday, a Jeep Wrangler hit a pedestrian in the 2100 block on N 2nd Street. The preliminary investigation found that the Jeep was traveling south when the woman attempted to cross the roadway.
The pedestrian — Shannon Morrison, 43, of Millville — was pronounced dead at the scene.
Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash
Two vehicles collided at about 4:45 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of S 2nd Street, killing one of the drivers. Elmer Rosell, 51, of Millville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver was traveling south on the roadway, when their 1994 Ford Bronco struck Rosell's 2006 Chevy Malibu. Rosell was making a left turn, exiting Country Meadows Mobile Home Park, according to the preliminary investigation.
