2 Killed, 2 Injured In Thanksgiving Day Crash In South Jersey

The head-on collision took place on Williamstown Road in Winslow Township early Thursday, according to published reports.

WINSLOW TWP., -- Two people were killed and two more were injured in a fatal crash in Winslow Township on Thanksgiving Day, according to published reports.

A 2003 Chevrolet Malibu collided head-on with a 2014 Honda Civic after crossing over the center line into the eastbound lane of Williamstown Road just before 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning, the Courier Post reports.

Joel Hutton, 23, and 19-year-old Janiyah Conquest were both pronounced dead on the scene. A passenger who was in the Malibu with Hutton and Conquest and the 19-year-old driver of the Civic were both taken to Cooper Hospital, according to the report.

Conquest graduated from Winslow Township High School last year, and Hutton was an Arkansas native, according to nj.com.

Residents report that the area is a dangerous stretch of road. In 2013, an 89-year-old man was killed in a head-on crash on the same stretch of road, according to the report.
