2 New ShopRite Stores Coming To South Jersey: Report
Renovations of a third store in Glassboro have also started. All three stores will offer fresh foods-to-go, catering and more.
GLOUCESTER COUNTY, NJ — Two new ShopRite stores are coming to South Jersey in 2023, according to a report. Meanwhile, renovations are underway on a third store located in Glassboro.
A new ShopRite store is planned at the site of a former Kmart in Cherrywood Plaza in the Blackwood area, according to a Courier Post report citing operator Zallie-Somerset Inc. The store will replace the one at 1224 Blackwood Clementon Rd.
A new-build supermarket is also planned in Woolwich Township on land at the intersection of Center Square and Auburn roads. Construction has not yet started on the store, but it is expected to open in March 2023, the Courier Post reported.

Finally, a major renovation and expansion of ShopRite at Glassboro are underway. The store, which opened in 1997, will grow from about 65,000 square feet to about 73,750 square feet, according to the Courier Post. Completion is expected by November.
All three stores will offer fresh foods-to-go, custom sandwiches, store-made recipes, catering and floral departments.
