As of Friday, there are 677 cases of the coronavirus in Gloucester Township, with 18 deaths.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Three more Gloucester Township residents have tested positive for the coronavirus, Camden County officials announced on Friday. The number of new cases in the county continues to trend downward.
Two women — one in her 40s and one in her 50s — and a man in his 60s were among 40 new cases announced countywide on Friday. No new deaths were announced in Gloucester Township or anywhere else in the county.
“We are continuing to wish a fast and full recovery to everyone who has contracted this horrible disease, and we are keeping all those affected in our thoughts and prayers,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “Today, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released new guidance reiterating recommendations for the use of face masks when with large groups, washing hands frequently, and keeping six feet apart. Our tools to combat the spread of coronavirus have not changed, but they are more important than ever if we are going to keep case growth down and save lives. As we return to something that resembles a normal course of business, please continue to take these recommendations seriously and follow the advice of public health experts.”
