3 Teens Arrested, 2 Loaded Guns Seized In Gloucester Twp: Police
Gloucester Township police said they seized two loaded .22 caliber handguns during a traffic stop Monday afternoon.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Three teenagers were arrested and two loaded guns were seized during a traffic stop in Gloucester Township on Monday, police said.
Police stopped the car in the area of Blackwood-Clementon Road at about 12:45 p.m., Gloucester Township police said Tuesday morning.
After smelling burnt marijuana, police searched the car and found a pair of loaded .22 caliber handguns, police said. They also said they found marijuana and promethazine, a schedule V drug.

A 17-year-old Camden boy and a 16-year-old Camden boy were charged with fourth-degree possession of a firearm by a minor, fourth-degree improper transport of a firearm, second-degree possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.
The 17-year-old was also charged with possession of marijuana, and the 16-year-old was charged with fourth-degree possession of a schedule V drug. They were both remanded to the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.

A 15-year-old Camden boy was charged with obstruction after police said he gave them a fake name during the course of the investigation.
He was released on a Station House Adjustment to a guardian. A Station House Adjustment is an alternative method for police to handle first-time juvenile offenders with minor offenses. It provides immediate consequences, including community service or restitution, while helping the juvenile to avoid a formal delinquency record.
