5 Horses Found Starving In Camden Co.; Owner Charged: Prosecutor

The horses were 'severely emaciated and dehydrated' inside a crammed stable, authorities said.

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, NJ — A woman faces animal-cruelty charges after five of her horses were found starving inside a crammed stable, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office (CCPO).

The horses were seized last Friday after law enforcement searched a property on the 100 block of Norcross Road in Winslow Township. The property and horses belonged to Dana Grykin, the CCPO said.

Grykin, 56, was charged with five counts of fourth-degree animal cruelty and failure to properly care for animals.

The horses were brought to a farm where they'll receive proper care, authorities said.
