5 More Coronavirus Cases In Camden County; Blood Donations Needed
Camden County officials provided details on five new positive cases of new coronavirus that were reported in the county on Sunday.
CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — Camden County officials provided details on five new positive cases of new coronavirus that were reported in the county on Sunday. The total number of cases is now 24. Officials provided information in the following cases:
- A Cherry Hill man in his 60s is hospitalized;
- A Cherry Hill woman in her 60s is self-isolating at home;
- Another Cherry Hill woman in her 60s is self-isolating at home;
- A Winslow woman in her 50s is currently hospitalized; and
- A Barrington woman in her 80s is currently hospitalized.
Trace investigations are underway in all these cases.

“The American Red Cross has announced a severe blood shortage due to the coronavirus pandemic and widespread cancellations of planned donation appointments,” Camden County Freeholder Director Louis Cappelli Jr. said. “A ready and available blood supply is critical to our nation’s health system in order to treat everything from accident victims to cancer patients.”

He advised residents that donating blood is safe, and scheduling an appointment allows them to make a donation while adhering to guidelines surrounding social distancing.
Camden County residents who are able to give blood should visit www.redcross.org and schedule an appointment to visit the Camden County Blood Donation Center located at 5425 Marlton Pike, in Pennsauken immediately.
The New Jersey Department of Health has partnered with the New Jersey Poison Information and Education System to open and operate a call center (1-800-222-1222) for public use regarding questions, concerns, and other information related to coronavirus spread in New Jersey.
