5 People Arrested, Drugs Seized in Big Drug Bust in South Jersey: Police

The months-long investigation targeted 2 locations in South Jersey.

Five people have been arrested in connection with two drug trafficking networks accused of distributing heroin, cocaine and other drugs, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Bellmawr Police Chief William Walsh said.

Dominique Green, 27, of Bellmawr, is charged with eight counts of possession of heroin and crack cocaine, seven counts of distribution of heroin and cocaine and one count of manufacturing a Controlled Dangerous Substance. His bail was set at $200,000 full cash.

Armando Rosario, 59, of Bellmawr, is charged with four counts of possession of oxycodone pills and four counts of distribution of oxycodone pills. His bail was set at $125,000 full cash.

Also charged were the three owners of Johnnies Liquor Store – Jalat Patel, 46, of Somerdale, Rakesh Patel, 43, of Somerdale and Dhananjaya Patel, 48, of Somerdale – with possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, distribution of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and distribution in a school zone. They were charged and released.

The arrests were made after a months-long investigation that targeted drug activity at the liquor store on 834 West Browning Road and Bellmawr Laundromat on 831 Browning Road.

During the investigation, police say they seized about 74 bags of heroin, 25 bags of crack cocaine, four suboxone sublingual strips, less than an ounce of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, two digital scales, 245 oxycodone pills and 12 tramadol pills as well as approximately $56,000 cash.
