A Special Thanks to the Gloucester Twp. Support Staff

While many people do not realize GTSSP have been without a contract now going into the second year. These people drive your children to school, feed them, help them in class, clean their classrooms, and work in the offices making sure parents receive any needed correspondence. They do the everyday jobs that people take for granted, but they are the jobs that help keep the district running. So how does this Board and Bilodeau thank them? They drag out negotiations out now going on 2 years.

Unlike Bilodeau, these people not only work in the District, a majority of them live in the District, not West Deptford like Bilodeau. So while the Board and Bilodeau made nice high paying fluff jobs for their friends, Mercado- politically connected, Acerba- Board hires an outside company to help her do her job (REALLY!), and of course Bilodeau's ex-secretary that went from secretary salary to over $80,000 a year. So while Greedy Administrators and Board members take care of their own, Support Staff continues to do the jobs they were hired to do. With all the new jobs for Bilodeau and the Boards friends you can only wonder what's left for the people just trying to eek out a living?

For years Support Staff has been disrespected, treated like second class citizens. I heard stories of, if you don't like it we will just privatize your position. In spite of the treatment by Administration and the Board, Support Staff continues to do their jobs and act professionally. Maybe this Administration and Board  can learn some valuable lessons on how to do your job with integrity, honor, class, and complete professionalism.

Thank you to all the members of the Gloucester Twp. Support Staff for all you do. Also we apologize for the behavior of this Administration and Board towards you, You deserve better and so do the residents of Gloucester Twp.
