All 3 Black Horse Pike Regional Baseball Teams Make Playoffs

Gloucester Township, NJ -- All three Black Horse Pike Regional School District baseball teams will pursue the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 baseball championship, and two of them will play each other in the first round of the playoffs, according to the bracket posted on nj.com on Thursday.

Highland (13-4-1) is the No. 2 seed and hosts district rival and No. 15 seed Triton (6-12) in the first round on Monday, May 23. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 7 Seneca and No. 10 Toms River East on May 25.

Timber Creek is the No. 5 seed and hosts No. 12 Lacey in the first round. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 4 Mainland and No. 13 Cumberland Regional.

The semifinals are set for May 31. The final is scheduled for June 3.

This will be the third meeting between Highland and Triton, with Highland winning both previous meetings.

Highland defeated Triton, 19-2 on May 9, and 5-2 on Wednesday.

Highland has won eight in a row since a 1-0 loss to Williamstown on April 27. Triton’s lone victory in May was a 13-4 decision over Gloucester.

Timber Creek (11-9) put together five consecutive wins in April, and most recently beat Cherry Hill East on May 12.

Lacey is 5-13.
