Elk Township Man Indicted in 2013 Murder of Gloucester Township Woman

Timothy Donnelly, 47, was indicted in the murder of Kathleen Korbel as she watched Donnelly's mother's dogs in Washington Township.

An Elk Township man has been indicted in the 2013 murder of a Washington Township woman, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo announced on Thursday.

Timothy Donnelly, 47, was indicted on counts of murder, felony murder, robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Donnelly is accused of shooting Kathleen Korbel, who was found shot at a home on the first block of Mayflower Drive in the early evening of Sept. 20, 2013.

She was housesitting pets for Donnelly’s mother when she was shot once in the head in an apparent robbery, authorities said.

Donnelly’s mother was away on vacation and is not implicated in the crime in any way.

Jewelry was reported missing from the home, as well as collectible coins and paper currency. Investigators found ransacked jewelry boxes and an open safe in the home.
