CHEWS LANDING, NJ — South Jersey is buzzing with pride after ShopRite workers at two locations were featured on the cover of a "Cheerios" box.
The teams at both stores hit high marks in the annual ShopRite Partners In Caring fundraiser to fight local food insecurity.
As a result, Bill Hunter, Elena Lunn, Donna Carroll, and Laura Naphy from the Chews Landing location and Valerie Idell and Ryan Buscher from Medford earned a spot on the limited-edition cover.
The program, in partnership with General Mills, consists of multiple events each year that benefit different charities in the region.
This year, the ShopRite of Chews Landing earned fourth place in the fundraising efforts that donated $7,500 to The Unforgotten Haven.
The Medford team participated in The Zallie Community Foundation Stamp Out Hunger 5k/10k and one-mile race that helped raise $5,000 for the Christian Caring Center.
The box can be purchased in stores for a limited time only.
