BLACKWOOD, NJ — As its name suggests, "Flying Pig Tavern & Tap" is looking to bring a new type of night out to Gloucester Township.
Along with traditional bar fare, the restaurant opened at 1300 Blackwood-Clementon Rd. on Thursday with a "games area" and tiki bar.
Flying Pig offers house-cured meats, "tap takeovers," and sources ingredients locally from New Jersey farms. The menu is filled with sandwiches, burgers, and everything from tacos to pizza and wings.
Locals may remember the location as the former site of "Favorites Off-Track Betting" and, prior to that, the "Stone Grill."
"Flying Pig" is open from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Sunday through Thursday, and from 11:30a a.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Blackwood "Flying Pig" now joins the Bordentown and Riverside restaurants as the only three locations in New Jersey.
