SICKLERVILLE, NJ — A 20-year-old man was arrested after a fight led him to shoot another man and himself at a Wawa convenience store on Sunday, the Camden County Prosecutor's Office said.
Marcus L. Norman, of Sicklerville, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
On Sunday at around 9 p.m., Winslow Township Police officers responded to 400 Sicklerville Road for a report of a shooting.
Norman was found shot at the Wawa and taken to Cooper University Hospital.
Another 20-year-old man walked into Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township after being shot and was then also taken to Cooper University Hospital.
Surveillance video showed Norman and the man in a fight inside the Wawa that grew into a physical altercation when Norman threw the first punch, according to officials.
He then pulled out a gun and shot the man and himself in the left hand.
A handgun was later confiscated from the scene.
Norman was arrested on Tuesday morning by the U.S. Marshals Service and taken to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
