SICKLERVILLE, NJ — "EZ Stop Vape Shop" was raided on Friday as part of a case into the illegal sale of marijuana, the Winslow Police Department said.
Nilbio Miguel Hernandez-Vargas, a store clerk, was arrested during the operation and charged with multiple drug offenses.
Along with the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, a search warrant was carried out at 250A Sicklerville Rd.
This was the result of a months-long case into the suspected illegal distribution of marijuana from the store in which confidential informants were used to build evidence, officials added.
A "large" amount of marijuana, along with United States currency believed to be from the illegal sales, was confiscated.
Charges against the owner of the business are pending.
During the raid, detectives also noticed potential fire safety and health code violations inside. This prompted Winslow Township Code Enforcement and the Winslow Township Fire Department to also respond.
