Give before Dec. 31 to maximize your tax deductions and help local charities.

Time is running out to make your 2011 charitable contributions. Whether you are looking to maximize your charitable tax contribution or looking to help a needy organization this holiday season, there are many Gloucester Township charities that need your support.
Most organizations have online giving options. For those that only except donation via mail, you have until Dec. 31 to postmark your contribution and receive credit for your 2011 taxes.

This year, more than ever, local food pantries are finding their shelves bare as the economy takes a toll on local residents. You can donate food, but consider donating cash this year. Food pantries can use cash donations to purchase the exact food and supplies they need for their clients from the Food Bank of South Jersey at extremely low prices. 3. Support Community Programs

4. Local Organizations with Global Impact
The Lions Club International, and the are all made up of local residents who raise money for local, national and international projects. Last year, the Kiwanis Club volunteers helped revamp the Gloucester Township Senior Center. Kiwanis also supports Blackwood Little League.
