Atco Man Attacked Woman With Hammer In Home Invasion: Cops
Daryl Goss is accused of breaking into a Waterford woman's home and hitting her in the head with a hammer.
A South Jersey man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after attacking a woman with a hammer at her home, authorities announced.
Daryl Goss, 25, of Atco, broke into the woman’s home on Gardens Avenue in Waterford at about 9 p.m. Thursday night, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Waterford Township Police Chief Daniel Cormaney.
He attacked a 28-year-old woman who was home alone by hitting her in the head with a hammer, police said.

Waterford Township police who were responding to neighbors’ 911 calls found Goss in the driveway with her cell phone and the hammer used in the alleged attack, police said. The woman told police Goss attacked her.
Further investigation revealed that Goss broke into another home in the neighborhood and attempted to break into another, police said.

He was also charged with aggravated assault, burglary, criminal trespass, resisting arrest and related weapons offenses.
Goss is currently in custody pending a detention hearing to be held in the Superior Court. At this hearing, the court may order he be detained or released under Criminal Justice Reform.
