BHPRSD Basketball Teams Qualify For Playoffs
Timber Creek is the No. 1 seed in the boys tournament. Both tournaments begin Feb. 26.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The road to the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 basketball championship goes through Timber Creek Regional High School.
Timber Creek is the No. 1 overall seed in the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 boys basketball tournament, according to nj.com. It will host No. 16 Lacey in the first round on Monday, Feb. 26, 4 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 8 Toms River East and No. 9 Mainland in the quarterfinals on Feb. 28.
Timber Creek enters the tournament with a record of 15-4 this season as of Feb. 9. All three Black Horse Pike Regional basketball teams made the tournament, and the other two may play each other in the quarterfinals.

Highland is seeded 10th and visits No. 7 Cumberland Regional in the first round on Monday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m. Triton is the 15th seed, and visits No. 2 Seneca at 5:30 p.m. the same day. The winners play in the quarterfinals.

All three Black Horse Pike Regional teams made the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 girls basketball tournament as well, according to nj.com. The quarterfinals of this tournament may also feature a battle of district teams.
Highland is the No. 12 seed and visits No. 5 Hammonton in the first round on Monday, Feb. 26, 5 p.m. Timber Creek is the No. 13 seed and visits No. 4 Toms River East at 4 p.m. the same day. The winners play in the quarterfinals on Feb. 28.
Highland is 7-9 as of Feb. 9. Timber Creek is 5-12 as of Feb. 9.
Triton is the No. 10 seed and visits No. 7 Woodrow Wilson in the first round on Monday, Feb. 26, 5:30 p.m. The winner plays the winner of the game between No. 2 Winslow and No. 15 Lacey in the quarterfinals.
The semifinals are set for March 2, with the championship game the following week. Triton is 11-6 this season, as of Feb. 9. Mainland is the No. 1 overall seed.
