Black Horse Pike Teams To Play In Holiday Tournaments

Two Black Horse Pike Regional basketball teams will play in holiday tournaments this week.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - The holidays aren’t just for giving, receiving and celebrating new starts; it’s also a time when the state’s basketball teams come together for their annual holiday tournaments. Two Black Horse Pike Regional High School basketball teams will play in holiday tournaments.

The Triton High School boys basketball team will compete in the Butch McLean Memorial Showcase at Haddon Heights High School later this week.

Triton will play two games. The Mustangs will play Pennsauken at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27. They will play Schalick nearly 24 hours later, at noon on Friday, Dec. 28.

The Timber Creek High School girls basketball team will compete in the James Atkinson Tournament at Rowan College at Gloucester County on the same days.

Timber Creek will play Clearview in the first round on Thursday, Dec. 27, 3 p.m. Deptford will play Paulsboro in the first game of the tournament, at 1 p.m. The winners will play on Friday, Dec. 28, 6 p.m. The consolation is set for Friday, 1 p.m.
