Black Horse Pike Wrestling Teams Set For Playoffs
Highland is the No. 3 seed, and Timber Creek is the No. 4 seed in South Jersey Group 3, according to nj.com.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Two Black Horse Pike Regional High School wrestling teams are pursuing the NJSIAA South Jersey Group 3 championship when the playoffs begin next week, according to the bracket posted on nj.com.
Highland is the No. 3 seed, and will host No. 6 Burlington Township in the first round on Monday night, Feb. 6, 7 p.m. The winner will face the winner of the match between No. 2 Gateway and No. 7 Seneca in the semifinals.
Timber Creek is the No. 4 seed, and will host No. 5 Lacey in the first round on Monday. The winner will face the winner of the match between No. 1 Delsea and No. 8 Pemberton in the semifinals.

The semifinals will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 8, and the championship match is set for Friday, Feb. 10. The state group championships are Feb. 12 at Pine Belt Arena.

As of Tuesday, Highland was 11-2, with their only losses coming to Kingsway, the top seed in South Jersey Group 4, and Collingswood, the top seed in South Jersey Group 1, according to nj.com.
The Tartans finished second as a team at the Bart Payne Tournament at Haddon Township on Dec. 28.
Highland defeated Burlington Township, 48-22, on Jan. 21. Each team won five contested matches in that one, but Highland came away victorious with the benefit of four forfeit victories.
Burlington Township is 11-8, according to nj.com.
Timber Creek is 7-4, according to nj.com. Their wins include a one-point victory over Cherry Hill West, a two-point win over Shawnee, and a three-point defeat of Lenape.
Timber Creek opened the season with a fourth-place finish at the Gator Tournament.
Lacey is 11-7, according to nj.com.
