Blackwood Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting Ceremony Set For GT
Gloucester Township will host its annual holiday events in the next few weeks.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Christmas season is just around the corner, and Gloucester Township is celebrating with a pair of annual upcoming events. First comes the Blackwood Fire Department’s Christmas Parade on Dec. 2, followed by the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Dec. 10.
The Blackwood Fire Department’s Christmas Parade steps off at 6 p.m. on Saturday night, Dec. 2, and runs until about 9 p.m. that night. Parade goers are invited to come back to the fire station after the parade to meet Santa Claus. For more information on the parade, call 856-227-7798.
The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Veterans Park is set for Sunday, Dec. 10, 6:30 p.m. Children will have their choice of riding a sleigh, the carousel, a pony or all of the above. Residents can sip on hot chocolate while they listen to Christmas carols sung by the Mainstage Center for the Arts.
