Blackwood’s Smallest Citizens Shower Young Girl Fighting Cancer With Gifts
Preschoolers from The Learning Experience in Blackwood gives young girl with cancer over 75 gifts.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Learning Experience in Blackwood teamed up with Logan’s Heroes, an organization that helps grant Christmas wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses, to to give a young girl battling cancer the Christmas of a lifetime.
Preschoolers at The Learning Experience, located at 606 Little Gloucester Road in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township, collected over 75 gifts including a bike, a Hot Wheels Corvette, and raised $1,200 in cash for a young girl who has been fighting Rhabdomyosarcoma cancer since 2013.
She is currently receiving her second round of treatment after the cancer returned and spread throughout 2015.

The Center “adopted” the girl for the holiday season and hosted a pie sale to raise money to assist with medical bills. They also created a Christmas Wish Tree in their lobby showcasing all the gifts the young girl wanted in order for individuals to grant her wishes for the holiday season.
The fundraiser and center’s participation in the Christmas Wish Tree is all in part of the academy’s first-of-its-kind philanthropy program and curriculum at the preschool level.

In addition to presenting her with gifts, the family also received Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner baskets. The family was extremely appreciative and it was a Christmas they will not forget.
