Blackwood Woman In Contention To Become Luxury Magazine Covergirl
Melanie Foltz grew up in Blackwood and is now a teacher at Highland and a softball coach at Timber Creek. She looks to become Miss Jetset.
GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ - A teacher’s aide at Highland Regional High School is in the running to be a magazine cover model. Melanie Foltz, of the Blackwood section of the township, is in contention to be the cover model for luxury lifestyle magazine Jetset for 2019.
The winner of the Miss Jetset contest not only gets the chance to grace the magazine’s cover, but she will also win a trip to any destination of her choosing as well as a $50,000 cash prize.
With one day of voting left in the first round, Foltz was in first place in the Northeast Group 14 region on Monday, March 4. Anyone who has a Facebook account can vote once a day for free now through March 5.

At the same time, voters can make a contribution to the B+ Foundation to benefit cancer research.
Foltz is an Erial native who graduated from Timber Creek Regional High School. She has returned to the school as a freshman softball coach.
In a Q&A with Jetset, Foltz said she would love to explore Australia and Africa if she wins the contest. As for the cash prize?

“Pay off my student debt,” Foltz said. “My student debt has crushed a lot of opportunities for me financially despite that I have an excellent credit score and work two full time jobs! I would definitely pay them down and get a smaller payment plan to help set me up for a better future!”
